Blog post #8

The person who is telling the story is a 16 year old girl named Alice. She is telling this story in her point of view because the book is told in a diary sort of way, she writes down her feelings, experience, what she did that day, and what she thinks about things and that's what makes up the story. To me the story seems very dark, it seems like she goes through depending moments in her life and I think she writes about it because maybe she doesn't trust other people. It makes me feel different emotions for each experience that she goes through and that she writes about. I think that she seems more and more used to that fact of being sad and let down by others because it keeps happening that she almost feels like giving up.

Blog post #4

"The rally itself was great, acid and booze and pot as free as the air. Even now color s are still dripping down over me and the crack in the window is beautiful. The is life is beautiful. It's so goddamn beautiful I can hardly stand it. And I'm a glorious part of it! Everybody else is just taking up space. Goddamn stupid people. I'd like to shove live down their throats and then maybe they'd understand what it's all about." Pg.

I chose this passage because I was kind of confused because I wasn't she if she was mad or upset about something. At first she didn't seem like it but the last two sentences sounded like she doesn't like people, but she loves life. She also sounded like she maybe anti social because she said that everyone else is talking up space because if she did have a lot of friends I don't think she would've said that.

testing animal blog

Do you think all animals should be treated the same? Why or why not? No because all animals are different and they all deserve the proper care for that specific animal.

Many companies use animals for testing various products. Do you think we should test on animals? Why or why not? No because I don't think it's fair that animals should have to suffer for being tested on products and then soon die if the product doesn't work.

Is it ok to test on some animals? Why or why not? No

If their was a drug that would potentially save 1,000,000 lives, would it be ok to test on animals in that situation? Why or why not? I don't know.

42 reflection

To me discrimination is not excepting someone in a group or not liking them for something that they do or how they look. When someone is being discriminated it really hurts them and it can effect them mentally because they might think they need to change something about them so they can fit in. Discrimination is not ok, but it dose happen and its apart of the world we live in. Discrimination happens for some of the dumbest reasons like for how someone looks, the color of their skin, or their actions.
